Mackenzie Rawls is a Brooklyn based freelance artist/dancer and yogi. With a background deeply rooted in dance, Mackenzie discovered her passion for teaching early in her career. Recognizing the transformative power of yoga, she delved into its principles and philosophy, becoming a certified instructor under the direction of Gabrielle Sulk. With over fifteen years of combined teaching experience (12 years dance and 7 years yoga) to ages ranging child to adult, Mackenzie approaches her classes with enthusiasm, passion, and somatic awareness.. Her class often blends her Hatha background, extensive years of vinyasa, and dance expertise.
Mackenzie’s impact as an educator extends far beyond the physical aspects of dance and yoga. She believes in nurturing the whole person, helping her students develop self-confidence, resilience, and a sense of joy in their practice. Her genuine care for her students' well-being and her ability to create a supportive and nurturing environment have earned her the admiration and gratitude of those she teaches. When not at Daya you can find her dancing, teaching SUP Yoga at Manhattan Kayak, leading workshops, hosting unique partnered events like cannabis yoga, vino and vinyasa, bend and brews etc.
