martial arts inspired movement, which you can learn more about here

Join us for an exploration of functional movement through Budokon Yoga—a practice that blends yoga, martial arts, and creative, warrior-like flows. In this workshop, we’ll focus on animal-inspired movement patterns, intentional breathwork, and intelligent joint priming to prepare the body before entering more intense asana or conditioning drills. You’ll experience how yoga can be used not just on the mat, but as a smart, intentional way to train your body for whatever lies ahead. Through Budokon’s martial arts–inspired sequences, which emphasize fluidity, strength, and awareness, we’ll cultivate resilience, enhance mind-body connection, and empower movement in everyday life.

Bio:
Hi, I’m Leigh. I’m a Yoga Alliance–certified teacher in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ashtanga, having trained in Dharamshala, India. I also hold certifications in Budokon Yoga—a dynamic style blending yoga and martial arts principles to create fluid, powerful, and intentional movement sequences—and Steel Mace Vinyasa, inspired by the Gada, an ancient Indian weapon once used in battle. These warrior-like yet mindful practices are at the core of my teaching. With over a decade of experience across yoga, martial arts, and functional movement, my work focuses on helping students move intelligently, prime their joints effectively, and breathe with purpose. My goal is to guide students toward stronger, more sustainable, and more creative movement—on and off the mat.
