Price: $33
This immersive workshop explores the ancient relationship between voice, breath, vibration, and consciousness through the practices of Dhrupad and Nāda Yoga.
Participants will be guided through grounding breathwork, deep listening, vocal resonance, sustained tones, and foundational Dhrupad exercises supported by the meditative drone of the tanpura. The workshop is designed to help release tension from the voice, calm the nervous system, strengthen concentration, and awaken a deeper awareness of sound within the body.
Dhrupad is the oldest surviving form of North Indian (Hindustani) classical music, rooted in ancient Vedic chanting. Nāda Yoga or the Yoga of sound, is a practice of meditating upon sound vibrations.
Rather than focusing on performance, the experience invites participants to use the voice as a tool for meditation, self-expression, and inner alignment. The session will conclude with a short period of guided listening and resonant sound.
No previous musical or singing experience is necessary.
