Join Val and Remy for an immersive workshop exploring the relationship between embodiment, observation, and creative expression through yin yoga and guided figure drawing. This practice invites participants into a meditative dialogue between body, breath, and mark-making, offering a space to connect more deeply with sensation, presence, and perception.
The workshop begins with a grounding yin-style yoga practice, where participants are guided through long-held, supported postures designed to cultivate stillness, awareness, and embodied attention. From this internal experience, the practice transitions into a live observational drawing session, where a pre-selected model in yoga attire moves through a series of intentional poses.
Through timed drawing intervals, participants are encouraged to release perfectionism and instead engage with gesture, feeling, intuition, and presence. The intention is not formal figure drawing instruction, but rather a gentle and exploratory practice that bridges embodiment and witnessing.
No prior yoga or drawing experience is necessary. This workshop welcomes curiosity, experimentation, and connection in a supportive and meditative environment.
What to expect:
  1. Grounding yin yoga practice focused on embodiment and awareness
  2. Guided transition from internal sensation to external observation
  3. Live observational drawing session with timed gesture studies
  4. Space for creative exploration, reflection, and presence
Basic drawing materials (paper and pencils) will be provided. Participants are also encouraged to bring any personal art materials they’d like to work with.
