Hosted by Kayla Schiller and Kaleb Clark

Event Description:

Join Kayla & Kaleb on a two-hour yin journey, allowing the body to metabolize stagnate emotions, thoughts, stress, and worries through shapes accompanied by Thai bodywork offerings from Kaleb.

Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga that encourages the practitioner to sit with the sensations that come with long, still holds, inviting you to explore the subtle messages and meet yourself where you need to be in the moment.

With a sequence focusing on the upper body meridians (lung, large intestine, heart, pericardium), as well as the side body meridians (liver, gallbladder), we will explore the themes of frustration, letting go, joy, connection, and compassion, being present with what may arise.

Whether this is your first encounter with the stillness of yin, or you’re a regular practitioner, this workshop is a wonderful preparation for the upcoming holiday season, a true antidote to the NYC hustle culture we’re all part of.

About Kayla:
Kayla (she/they) is a 300-hr RYT, writer, and registered dietitian/nutritionist currently based in Brooklyn. After being introduced to Hatha yoga through a young women’s holistic workshop hosted at her high school, Kayla spent half a lifetime sporadically exploring her practice as she studied to become a dietitian, becoming more consistent with a practice after graduating college. Even after she completed her initial 200-hour teacher training in 2018, it would take Kayla a few more years to better understand the lessons and values beyond the physical asana practice of yoga (and will probably her take a few more decades or samsara cycles to really get "it"), more ten years after her introduction.

About Kaleb:
My name is Kaleb. Thankyou for making it here.
I am a student and teacher. Dedicated to the practice of yoga, my work and practice explores anatomy, breath, movement, stillness, self awareness, reflection, and acceptance.
In this work, I offer compassion and dedication first and foremost. I hope wherever we meet, whether on a mat, the massage table, virtually, or in person, that the first thing you feel is seen and appreciated.
My teachings come from the heart. My massage sessions as well. My life purpose is seeking and understanding the bodies pain patterns for relief for others and myself. Removing the obstacles to allow ourselves to feel at home in our bodies is my goal.
My work is informed by the studies I completed wurh Science of Self and the Lotus Palm School of Thai yoga massage in 2024 with a certificate in thai yoga massage therapy and as a registered yoga teacher under yoga alliance. I seek connection, intentional movement, and stillness as much as possible
